Meeki & Braya is a web serial story updated Wednesdays and Saturdays. The narrative follows Meeki as she befriends strange allies and struggles to fight against a politically ambitious assassin.

Yesterday I began working on chapter 3. The latter half of chapter 2 reveals some truths about Samara while chapter 3 goes somewhat farther into the subject. This should speed things up with her character development, as she didn't quite get an opportunity in the first issue.

Samara really is a sad sort of character for the moment. She is the type of person who has accomplished a great many things, but hasn't gotten properly rewarded for it yet. She lost more than she gained through her history. So she comes into the present story with ambitions that seem simple, but personally mean a great deal to her. This is the kind of character that I have a great attachment to in many stories. The character who wants something very simple and humane, but still struggles to either achieve it or accept an alternative.

A story should never focus entirely on the progress world-shattering events. Characters have feelings, sometimes they want things that aren't necessary in the long run of the story. As long as it doesn't get too much in the way of your theme and goals for the work.
