Meeki and Braya is a serial fiction to be released in 40-60 page issues monthly. I use "monthly" somewhat loosely. There will be limited previews of each issue posted on this website. About 10-15% of each release will be used for the previews, taken from various passages of the work. The remainder of each issue can be purchased online with a small fee. For those that dislike reading from a computer monitor, printed copies are also available for purchase. Here are some words on pricing and buying:
The story and this web site is written by Eric Curzi.
Despite strong childhood ambitions and a decent college education, Meeki found herself trapped in a very routine and uneventful life as a mother. After seven years of staying at home, she began to experience a strong yearning to experience something different. The answer to her problem came from a gamble with a friend: Meeki would join a cult that worships a children's story character named Braya. Meeki thought it would be good, crazy fun, but she soon finds herself bored and irritated with the cult. Then she suddenly gets caught up in a dramatic turn of affairs. The extreme political ambition of a man throw her life into danger. We follow Meeki and her new companions as they struggle to understand and fight a cunning and ruthless political enemy more powerful than anyone expected.
The story takes place in a time far into the future, beyond the lifetime of our own planet. Under direction of a powerful creator named Neudias, Humans have lived peacefully on two different planets revolving around one sun. Newhope was the first planet where humans began another attempt at life. With guidance from the creator, life flourished perhaps too readily. Technology returned with such great speed that natural resources diminished the planet's resources far too quickly. In order to create more food for the people of Newhope, Neudias commissioned for the second planet. This new world was called Aster. It was smaller but incredibly rich in agricultural capacity. Colonies were shipped out to Aster, and the inevitable occurred. The colonists developed an identity of their own and began a new civilization based on the lifestyle of farming.
Over the initial years, Asterians became a society based on the values of honor and hard work. Compared to the loose and more carefree lifestyle of Newhope, the contrast becomes rather startling. Despite the difference, several centuries of coexistence allowed the two societies to mix with each other. Not everyone likes the thought of this cultural mixture, and that is what leads us to our story's current events.
